Your park bag is one of the most important parts of your trip. Whether you're traveling solo, with a family, riding rides, or shopping, I'm breaking down the best bag for each type of traveler! Just make sure you follow my only rule: ALL BAGS MUST ZIP! For the Family Traveling Together: Full-Size Backpack
Invest in a great sturdy backpack. I have one from Thirty-One that I bought YEARS ago to use as a park bag, and still use it on every trip. (And yes, that's my maiden name embroidered on it! Told you I've had it for years!) This bag has two large zipper pockets to keep things organized, a smaller zipper pocket (great for snacks), two side pockets for water bottles, an interior zipper pouch, and the world's most comfortable shoulder straps. There's plenty of space to keep everyone's things organized and protected. I'm way, way, way behind on sharing the "Resort of the Day" information that I've been posting on Instagram and Facebook, so I'm recapping all of the ones I'm behind on now!
November 3rd - Hard Rock Hotel (Universal Orlando Resort) The epic Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort is the perfect place to rock out! In addition to the other perks of staying on-site at Universal, you’ll also enjoy a FREE Universal Express pass (to skip the lines!), a short walk to Universal Studios, water taxis, and even underwater speakers in the pool! This premier resort is a must-stay!! November 4th - Pop Century Resort (Walt Disney World) Disney’s Pop Century Resort is the grooviest resort out there! This resort features pop culture themes spanning from the 1950s through 1990s. It's right on the Skyliner and has one of the best food courts around. The larger than life theming at this value resort is SO much fun! ☮️ November 5th - Loew's Royal Pacific Resort (Universal Orlando Resort) Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando Resort is a South Seas paradise! It features a lagoon-style pool and water taxi transportation. You'll also enjoy a FREE Universal Express pass included in your stay a this premier resort. A true slice of paradise! November 6th - Endless Summer - Surfside Inn & Suites (Universal Orlando Resort) Endless Summer-Surfside Inn & Suites is one of the newest value resorts at Universal Orlando. This beachy surf theme is abundant, including a SoCal-themed food court! Guests will also enjoy a complimentary shuttle to the parks. November 9th - Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village (Walt Disney World) Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge is such an incredible resort! This deluxe villa resort has over 30 species of wildlife roaming free over the preserve! Your studio, 1, 2, or 3 bedroom villa might even have a savanna view! Dining at Sanaa with its savanna views is a bucket list item for any wildlife fan. November 10th - Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (Walt Disney World) Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This resort is unique because it really features 2 resorts in 1! The cabins sleep 6, and are a moderate resort. The campsites can accommodate anything from a tent to 45+ foot RVs! It also features boat transportation to Magic Kingdom. This resort is pet-friendly and even has a dog park! You'll also get to experience archery, sports courts, and horseback trail rides! November 11th - Art of Animation Resort (Walt Disney World) Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is one of my absolute favorite resorts for families. The family suites sleep up to 6 and have 2 bathrooms, plus a separate bedroom, giving extra privacy! Plus, the theming is phenomenal and the food court is one of the best around. This value resort is right on the Skyliner line. There are Finding Nemo, Cars, or Lion King family suites available, as well as standard-sized Little Mermaid rooms. November 16th - Yacht and Beach Club Resort & Villas (Walt Disney World) Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are STUNNING and are among my favorites on property. The Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts are deluxe resorts, while the Beach Club Villas are a deluxe villa resort. These resorts share Stormalong Bay, a 3 acre water area with a slide, sand bottom pool, & lazy river. It truly is the most EPIC pool on property. These resorts are both within walking distance to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios or boat transportation to both of those parks is available! Walt Disney World
Holiday Magic Has Arrived The holidays are officially here! A merry makeover at Magic Kingdom Park has ushered in the magic. Also this season, there will be special projection effects on Cinderella Castle to celebrate the season. EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs also feature displays of decorations. Universal Orlando Resort New Raptor Encounter Blue and her pack are getting an upgrade! The news digs will be located near the all-new Velocicoaster when it opens! It will directly tie into the story of the main coaster. The new location will also feel a little bit more industrial, like in the Jurassic World series. All month long, I’ll be highlighting different Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort hotels. With so many options at both destinations, deciding on one can seem overwhelming! Let’s dive in! ✨
Today, let’s talk about Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This iconic resort is one of the two original Walt Disney World hotels. Features: •Deluxe resort category •Monorail transportation •Walking path to Magic Kingdom •Signature restaurant California Grill To be honest, the Contemporary wasn't always on my radar until recent years. However, now that I've stayed at this iconic, stunning, and very convenient resort...I'm hooked! I have a review of one of my stays at Disney's Contemporary Resort linked here! |
